The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has prepared some amendments in the legislation for Notary Activities

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has prepared some amendments to the "Fundamental Principles of Legislation for Notary Activities dated February 11th, 1993 #4462-I".
In the legislation are specified requirements to the notary, trainees of notary offices, assistants and other employees.

So, the notary is obliged to have higher legal education and employment experience in the same occupation not less than five years. Age range is established starting from the age of 25 up to 70 years old.
Foreigners, individuals with outstanding conviction or criminal history on record, and also individuals registered with drug rehabilitation or psychiatric institutions can't occupy the position of the notary. Also individuals deprived of this status earlier can't apply for a position of the notary.

From the 1st September, 2014 it is necessary to bring the Certificate of Incorporation and the name of legal entities in the line with chapter 4 of the Part 1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation as amended in the Federal law dated May 05th, 2014 #99-FZ.

From the 1st of September 2014 amendments to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation concerning status of legal entities came into force, specifically the main part of regulations of the Federal Law dated May 05th, 2014 #99-FZ “About amendments in the chapter 4 of the Part 1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation and about invalidation of particular regulations of legislative acts of the Russian Federation”
